Weekend Round-Up

This weekend is chock full o’ fun. In addition to the South African Food & Wine Festival, here are more events in Richmond:

Burning Up the Bottom Fireman’s Parade and Chili Cook-Off, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fire companies from across the state will be cooking up some chili and showing off their heritage and equipment at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market. There’ll also be live music and libations.

Bouncing Betties Burlesque Presents Pretty in Pink… a Breast Cancer Benefit, Saturday, 8-11 p.m.
Add some alternative entertainment to your weekend with a burlesque show at the Richmond Triangle Players. Tickets cost $10-$13, get ‘em here.

Food Truck Festival, Saturday, 12-6 p.m.
This celebration of Richmond’s food carts and trucks takes place at Whole Foods in Short Pump. There’ll be plenty of food from Richmond’s most popular mobile vendors, along with live music and kids’ activities.

RVA Music Fest, Saturday night, various locations and times; Sunday 2-10 p.m.
This music festival features performances from mostly Richmond artists at various downtown music venues on Saturday night, along with two stages and a DJ tent with music playing on Sunday afternoon.
