Moussaka, souvlaki, triopita… oh my! You can stuff yourself silly with these Greek goodies and other traditional cuisine at the 35th Annual Greek Festival, taking place this Thursday through Sunday at Saints Constantine and Helen’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Plan to savor some of the area’s best Mediterranean food, along with live music and dancing, Greek wine, Greek goods for sale and tours of the cathedral. Or, if you’re in a hurry, hit the drive-through where you can grab some of the most popular menu items to take home and enjoy.
A few words of advice for first-time festival goers: this event gets busy! Best times to avoid waiting are early, and in the afternoon when it’s in between lunch or dinner time. Or, just go when you want, plan to buy a bottle of wine and relax while waiting in line for your favorite foods. All of Richmond comes out to enjoy the delicious cuisine served here.
