Restaurant Spotlight: Pescados China Street

Pescados China Street, the restaurant offering up an inventive mix of Caribbean and Latin flavors
opened in Richmond's Oregon Hill neighborhood in June of 2010. Look for the
bright red building to find fresh fish that's flown in daily, along with
selections like Chef Todd Manley's signature Voodoo Shrimp (a spicy blend of
wild-caught shrimp, allspice, rum, chorizo and banana served in a torta
round an topped with a soft-fried egg); pork chops brushed with
chipotle-orange glaze and served with sweet plaintains, coconut black beans,
zucchini and charred pinapple salsa; deconstructed paella; and a popular
avocado tart for dessert.

Along with great dinner specials throughout the week, Pescados hosts
Fundraising Nights on Mondays. If you happen to be in town this coming
Monday (4/4), stop by because 15 percent of the day's take will go to Saving
Furry Friends, Inc., a rescue and sanctuary that's dedicated to saving dogs
and cats whose time has run out. If you've been by our inn, you know we've
got a soft spot for furry friends!

Early-bird-specials fans can also stop by Monday through
Thursday for the Recession Buster Hour where you'll get 15 percent off your
entire check for items ordered between 5 and 6 p.m.
