This year Richmond's biggest running event takes place on April 2, 2011. The
crazy-fun time known as the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k Presented by
Martin's, accepts the first 40,000 runners who sign up and is one of your
few chances to catch sprinters in Chewbacca, Charlie Brown, Indiana Jones
and other crazy costumes. So, even if you don't want to run, consider
walking it, or just come down to cheer on the participants, catch some
decked-out dashers and listen to the live bands that play along the route.
It's one of Richmond's most festive athletic events. There's also a kids'
run and a post-race party at the finish line.

If you do want to come to town for the event, consider booking your stay at
the Grace Manor Inn. We're only a few blocks from all the fun.
