It is a rare thing indeed when something labeled as being “FREE” is actually “FREE.” You don’t have to pay for shipping or a special service charge and if you are getting an offer via email- your inbox doesn’t get spammed with ads.
Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live! promises it’s visitors no funny business, just a straightforward way to get free admission into nine of Richmond’s local museums. The Smithsonian is offering free admission this Saturday, September 29th to its 177 affiliate museums across 41 states, Puerto Rico, and Panama. Tickets will let two people per household visit one museum. Of the museums available in Richmond, the following are eligible for free admission:
- Virginia Historical Society
- Valentine Richmond History Center
- Virginia Center for Architecture
- Edgar Allen Poe Museum
- St. John’s Church
- Museum of the Confederacy
- The John Marshall House
- Virginia War Memorial
- Wilton House Museum
Visitors must submit information online before a free ticket is emailed to them. So get out there and enjoy the wonderful fall weather this weekend!
