Grab some friends and head into town for the 2011 Great Richmond Region Adventure, taking place April 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You and your team of up to six will receive maps and clues that require you to crack codes and decipher puzzles as you fight for a $1,700 cash prize. The race takes place in Church Hill and has been described as a mix between Amazing Race and National Treasure. Check-in takes place at 9 a.m., the race starts at 10 a.m., and there’s an after-party with an awards presentation at Patrick Henry’s Pub & Grille starting at 1 p.m.
First, second and third place prizes are awarded, along with prizes for most creative team name and team gear. There are also drawings for gift certificates from area attractions. Tickets cost $35 and must be purchased by April 27, so gather your friends now, and get ready for a day of fun!
