Whether this is your first visit to Richmond, or you’ve been here many times, you can get to know the city a bit more intimately at the Valentine Richmond History Center’s I Know Richmond: The Bus Tour on Saturday, March 19, from 1 to 4 p.m.
You’ll get an overview of Richmond’s history, with visits to Court End, the James River and the Fall Line, Church Hill, Jackson Ward, the Fan and Monument Avenue. As you tour town, you’ll see historic sites like St. John’s Church, Hollywood Cemetery, Main Street Station, the Jefferson Hotel, and the Museum and White House of the Confederacy. You’ll also get to tour the State Capitol, walk through Capitol Saqure, and see Richmond’s new Civil Rights Memorial.
