For some people, outdoor activity means kayaking down white-water rapids or camping out under the stars. And, for other people, it means drinking wine on a patio or listening to a concert outside (preferably in a chair, away from the dirty ground with plenty of bug-spray applied, of course). Whatever
your definition is, you’ll find something fun to do at Dominion Riverrock this weekend where options range from listening to live rock and roll to a 5k mud-run where participants end up covered from head to toe.
The action starts Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Richmond’s scenic Brown’s Island. Go here for a full schedule of events. Along with the messy mud run and music, you’ll find acrobatic kayak and bike competitions, a trail run, mountain biking, vendors, food, and more. One of the more popular events is the Eukanuba Ultimate Air Dogs competition, where canines compete for distance, catching and fetching from a dock into a pool.
