Yep, there’s more eating to be done this summer. Make room for some exotic flavors next weekend (8/12-13) at the Filipino Festival. Taking place Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, this celebration includes folk dancing, live music, games and kids’ activities.
The main event, of course, is the food! Plan to try roasted pig, lumpia (Filipino spring rolls) and the famous chicken adobo, which is a special slow-roasted dish featuring soy, vinegar and garlic flavors.
Bring cash and prepare for food-festival fun.
