Many would argue that the best way to start the day is with a good cup of coffee. I would have to agree. The warm, earthy goodness of a dark-roasted blend is something that truly can’t be beat.
Richmond has started to become known for it’s elitist approach to coffee. Not just any old beans will do- stores will source their beans from all over the world and roast them daily. Free wi-fi, wonky tables and a few muffins near the register is simply not enough anymore. Locals expect shiny hardwood counters, rich-colored walls, cozy chairs and eccentric art. Most shops will also offer gourmet pastries or even a light menu pushing, among other things- breakfast bagels.
